It is only when we are older and wiser that we can fully understand the sacrifices that parents make. The importance of family and the love which grows when we are young and into adulthood. Staying together as a family can be hugely rewarding as grandchildren enter the family.
I hope in some way that children can read this book and understand the values of family through the eyes of the seagull family. After all, what is more comforting than coming home to your family where the home is full of love and you feel safe?
